What is StagSense?

StagSense translates complex environmental conditions and rut behavior into clear, tactical hunting guidance so you know when to go, when to sit, and how to adjust your strategy. It uses weather data to calculate how white-tailed deer are likely to move under those conditions.

The app obtains weather forecast data for your location and presents a movement rating for the next 7 days, broken down by morning, mid-day, and afternoon.

How to Get the App

Once the app is downloaded and installed, follow the in-app instructions to create an account. On first login there is an app tour covering the main features.

Recommended Items to Try

• Set your location. Use GPS or manually set a location in the Location tab.
• View your Forecast (3-day for Free, 7-day for Premium) using the graph and table of days.
• View the Detailed Forecast for any day. Forecasts are broken down by time of day (morning, mid-day, afternoon).
  • Share a forecast.
  • Provide forecast feedback.
• View Forecast History (1-day for Free, 7-day for Premium).
  • Try the Rewind feature in the top right of History (Premium only). This simulates the rut phase and weather for any date in the last year. Try looking at the rut for your area -- probably late October to mid-November.
• Account Tab has additional settings.
  • Custom Scoring -- emphasize or de-emphasize weather factors like pressure, wind, and temperature.
  • Notifications
• Verify Push Notifications. They are configured in the Account | Notifications section. Customize them to the location and rating (Excellent, Very Good, etc.) of your choosing. They should work on Android and iOS versions.
• Try the Premium trial. After the trial expires, contact me and I will extend your Premium trial.
